Welcome to ZEVA

Here at Zero Emission Vehicles Australia, our mission is to help people build better electric vehicles. ZEVA was founded in 2007 by Ian Hooper, a car enthusiast and qualified engineer with a keen interest in ecological sustainability.

Few now doubt the realities of climate change or the socioeconomic consequences of oil dependency, but burning petrol can be a tough addiction to kick. Fortunately, electric vehicles offer a truly viable alternative for the vast majority of vehicles on our roads, and can be powered entirely by renewable energy.

Around the world, thousands of vehicles have been converted to electric drive. EV conversions are cheaper than buying a new vehicle, have a much lower ecological footprint, and with a fraction of the running cost of a conventional petrol vehicle.

ZEVA offers a range of quality Australian designed and manufactured products to help you build the most functional, safe and reliable electric vehicles. We also offer design consultancy to help realise your EV aspirations.
